Cardi B doesn’t shy away from admitting that Beyoncé’s concerts are on a whole other planet when it comes to live performance. In a recent cover story for Allure, Cardi opened up about the pressure she feels on her Little Miss Drama Tour, and how watching Queen Bey in action made her realize just how far apart their stage shows really are. “That was way crazy,” Cardi said after catching Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour last year. As Cardi put it, “That’s way removed from what I could do.”

It’s not just the scale or the spectacle — it’s the choreography. For Cardi, dancing isn’t second nature. She laughed about it with her backup dancers, admitting, “You’re in your twenties, ain’t you?” after trying and failing to keep up with their moves during rehearsal. She’s honest: “I hate choreography, it’s like math to me. I don’t have much of a rhythm like that. I could rap all day. But dancing is like, ugh.”

Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour clearly left its mark on her. The numbers alone are mind-blowing: 32 shows, 1.6 million tickets sold, over $400 million grossed. Cardi went to a June show in France, soaking it all in both as a fan and as someone trying to level up her own tour. Still, she recognizes that what Beyoncé pulls off is just a whole different game.

As for her own tour, Little Miss Drama kicked off in February and will run through mid-April, riding the success of her 2025 album that hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. But even with the excitement, Cardi’s struggling to balance life on stage with being there for her kids. Her oldest, Kulture, is in school now, and Cardi flat out says the school won’t let her just take her kid on the road. And she doesn’t want her son to give up sports or miss out on his childhood because she’s touring.

Cardi admits all the worries hit hard — trying to figure out how she’s going to make everything work as a mom and a performer. She gets real: “So I just be like, ‘How the f–k am I gonna make this s–t f–king work?’” Navigating both worlds isn't easy, and for Cardi, sometimes it feels less like a balancing act and more like a constant juggling match, with family and fame pulling at her from all sides. Still, she pours herself into everything she does, even if Beyoncé’s level feels miles away. That honesty — and hustle — is exactly why fans connect with her.
